Gapu Ŋupan (Chasing the Rainbow) traditional and contemporary dance from First Nations Australia and Taiwan.

In the first part of this 2-hour workshop, the choreographers and dancers of Gapu Ŋupan (Chasing the Rainbow) will explain the background of the traditional movements and gestures and give an experience of traditional movement from Yolŋu and Paiwan cultures. Then, they will teach some contemporary choreographic sequences from their work. Led by Rachael Wallis and Piya Talaliman with dancers and translators from the Gapu Ŋupan team. This workshop is open to all movers with an interest in First Nations stories and performance.
