Sink your teeth into this cheeky new theatre show posing some of the most provocative and challenging questions of our time.

Sci-fi comedy The Robot Dog is set in Australia in 2042. Janelle, a woman of Cantonese heritage, and her partner Harry, a First Nations man, move back into Janelle’s family home after the death of her mother.

As they attempt to navigate their work, relationship and jobseeking requirements, they encounter quirky AI software that’s controlling their home and a robotic therapy dog.

Full of humour and humanity, the show asks: does Janelle and Harry’s new hi-tech life help them connect, or does it hinder them?

The Robot Dog is a collaboration between Hong Kong-born multidisciplinary artist Roshelle Yee Pui Fong, Luritja writer and technologist Matthew Ngamurarri Heffernan and director Amy Sole (Blak in the Room). Together, they have created a relatable, imaginative and highly theatrical production about the all-too-believable future.
